Getting started is easy:

  1. Sign up for your free 30-day trial
  2. Add your company details including GSSA registration
  3. Import or add employees with their pay rates and tax codes
  4. Configure pension schemes if applicable
  5. Connect QuickBooks (optional but recommended)
  6. Run your first payroll and generate payslips

Our setup wizard guides you through each step, and our support team is available to help.

Adding employees:

  • Go to Employees → Add New Employee
  • Enter personal details (name, address, GSSA number)
  • Set pay rate and frequency
  • Configure tax code and personal allowances
  • Add pension details if applicable

Bulk import: You can import multiple employees via CSV file.

Managing changes: All changes are tracked with effective dates.

Running payroll:

  1. Go to Payroll → New Payroll Run
  2. Select the pay period and employees
  3. Review hours/salary amounts
  4. Add any bonuses or deductions
  5. Preview calculations before finalizing
  6. Finalize and generate payslips
  7. Sync to QuickBooks (if connected)

What's calculated automatically: GSSA contributions, income tax, pension contributions, and net pay.

Connecting QuickBooks Online:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Connect to QuickBooks
  3. Log in to your QuickBooks account
  4. Authorize the connection
  5. Map payroll accounts to your chart of accounts

Troubleshooting:

  • Ensure you have QuickBooks Online (not Desktop)
  • Check that you have admin access to QuickBooks
  • Verify account mappings are correct

As a new Guernsey employer, you must complete three essential registrations:

  1. Tax Registration - Obtain a Tax Reference Number from the Revenue Service
  2. GSSA Registration - Register for Social Security contributions
  3. Pension Compliance - Set up a qualifying pension scheme under Secondary Pension Law
